Our second day at the Arts Factory rained all day, but we did not let that dampen our spirits, and in fact had a jam packed day. In addition to learning to play the didgeridoo we also played beach volleyball in the rain and went swimming! It was also really nice to kick back and have some down time. After all, vacation is supposed to be about relaxing. Our last night the crazy MC with the feathers in his hair played some original music that was surprisingly catchy and has been in my head for a while. He played drums with his feet, guitar with his hand and didgeridoo. It was kind of surreal. The next morning as we left he had a little stand selling jewelery. A lot of it was opal which Australia is famous for, and bone jewelry he has found from roadkill. I bought some earrings made out of echidna quills which are really cool. His directions: they’re fucking sharp so take them out to shower, sleep and shag. Australians sweat a lot! They also say top banana, which he and his jewelry definitely were!
